As the title says, I am in the market for a new baseball book to buy. I have already read Moneyball and am in the process I reading parts of Baseball Between the numbers. I really love the statistical analysis of the game, along with the inner workings like Moneyball brings out. I really want to try and get into sabermetrics more and the art of statistical analysis in baseball, so something right up those alleys would be perfect. I'll take any suggestions you all throw out though. So which baseball books to you all recommend??

I'm in the process of reading this book by Michael Lewis and so far I've found it to be very interesting and extremely good. Has anyone else here read it? What did you think? Are there any other baseball books somebody would recommend?

Ted Lillys velocity was down DRASTICALLY earlier in the season, it just happens to pitchers occasionally.

To give the casual fan something to bitch about in 10 years when he is a stud and they find out that we lost out on him. I mean there's no doubt he is a gamer, the kid is an insane athlete Ive played with him for years. Unless we are shelling out HUGE dollars.

Given his bum ankle and short stature for a RHP, that's not overly surprising. meh the ankles fine now, I use to play ball with him for about five years. Kid has the most heart I've played with.

I really wish I could see his spray chart on the year, it seems like every count he is battling off pitches and then shooting two-strike outside pitches to the opposite field a whole lot.

Is that game going to be televised
