    Sonny decided to bypass the early entry to the majors, and he is now playing for Vanderbilt University. He will be a stud in a year or two, expect first round implications out of this kid.

    I don't know what happened to Tony Thomas, he was doing sooo well to start off the season. In other news, Jay Jackson brought a no hitter into the sixth inning tonight before giving up a hit. His strikeout numbers weren't up around where they usually are, but it helps when he allows no one to get on base. This Tennessee team is struggling to get their bats going, Ryno needs to show them a thing or two about hitting.

    Mitch Atkins needs to drop down to AA Tennessee he is ineffective in Iowa He really has struggled with the hits and the home runs. But he had some success last year at AAA (4.47 ERA in 54.1 IP) - I don't know if returning to AA will help him. I understand he had some success last year, but this year he has been horrid. Check out this line. 2-5 WL -- 8.38 ERA -- 7.82 K/9 -- 4.10 BB/9 -- 5.23 FIP -- 1.19 K/BB -- 10.3 H/9 He is just getting crushed, he's averaging 10 hits per game on him for god sake. His FIP is a lot lower than I expected, I guess his defense just isn't helping him out.
