    I refute you. The word "refute", Mr Einstein,means you bring up facts that contradict whatever the other person posted. Since you didn't give any good reason why Schwarber should have started, you didn't refute me-you just posted condescending BS.

    Ok:Schwarber can't hit lefties and now is starting against the top lefty in the NL They could have started Happ, or Jay, a lefty who can hit lefty pitchers

    Outside of drawing a walk, why is Maddon giving the Dodgers an automatic out, especially in such a crucial game??

    A 162 game schedule should mean something. In the future, I'd like to see a team added to each league and each league have 2 divisions of 8 teams with each division winner and 2 WC teams making the playoffs. 4 teams per league is enough. And as long as the current 2 WC system is in place, have the WC series expanded to best of 3. The 1 game series is beyond ridiculous

    I take it back. The Cubs will be in the playoffs. That Brewers series in Milwaukee made me overeact.

    Gentlemen, the z means nothing. Although I have been a great Cubs fan for 59 years-having attended both the game where Ernie got his 500th homer and the 69 opener where Willie Smith hit the game winning homer,, I can't type a lick.     I left my tv room a few minutes and saw they took out Montgomery despite a low pitch count and 1 hit. I assume he's hurt but I didn't catch his injury.

    How about 1. Scharber sucks defensively? And 2. If Schwarber is untouchable, why did Theo bring his name up in the Quintana deal, if rumors are accurate?

    For months, I have been in favor of trading him to an AL club But he hit another homer today and I think now I want him back.

    I'm old enough to remember 1969, and this series reminds me of the choke job of 69 Hope I'm wrong.

    I know Zobrist is signed thru 2019, but unless Ben discovers the fountain of youth, I can't see him being with the Cubs past the All-Star break of next year. He is often painful to watch.
