And with the Bucs losing Burnett and Happ the Cards are the only likely team to threaten that bet. So I'm just looking to learn as much about the Cardinals in terms of possible player declines and minor league impact promotions. Mid 80s, Busch 2, Birds vs Expos, sitting in the bleachers soppin' up $4 megaphones. Timmy Raines the ire of my attention. Whole game, I'm yelling, "Hey Timmy, gimme back my shoes!" I yell this for at least 7 innings. You could tell he was getting tired of it, as was the crowd, but neither could figure out the angle. Finally, about the 8th, "Hey Timmy, gimme back my shoes!....................I leftem under yo mama's bed!" Timmy, look of surprise at the gem I just dropped, turns around and flips me/us off, at which point the entire (left) field bleachers or so it seemed, flips him off and all are yelling, " Hey eff you Timmy! Same to you" Laughs all around. A true classic. Loved his play, btw, and am glad he is a HOFer now. Sorry Timmy! :P
