  1. And Kyle, Don't forget to mention that unless the Cubs win, what is it, 89? games this year, Theo is still under .500 for his cumulative record with the Cubs
  2. It would be nice if Jake Stinnett could become a thing. Give him some of what Dillon Maples is having
  3. Tyler Alamo having himself quite a double header When he was in single A, he was a good defensive catcher who couldn't hit. Big dude. Reminded me of Lance Parish with the Tigers in the early 1980s
  4. Thank you. I have been lurking for about 8 years, but never felt wise enough to contribute to the board. As a matter of fact, I have used this board to pick up Sabermetric knowledge. My only contribution could be low A players, as I go to about 10 Kane County Cougars and 10 South Bend SilverHawk/Cubs games a year. I have no special insight: I never coached, and didn't play beyond High School Kelli is listed on Milb.com as 6'0" and 180 pounds--the Cubs media guide for this year lists him (I presume from when they signed him) as 5' 10" and 155 pounds. Oh, and just to make Tom smile, he is listed as a switch hitter.
  5. Fernando Kelli is also 2 inches taller and 20 pounds heavier than what he is listed in my Cubs media guide. The media guide lists him as one of the Cubs 2016 (lower dollar figure) signings.
  6. DJ Wilson is featured in this months Vineline. He developed a stress fracture in his leg (They mentioned him running home from second AFTER he suffered the fracture). I saw him a few times earlier this year in South Bend. He is a fluid athlete. I hope he comes back strong. As an aside, I have been watching the single A teams for a few years (I live between South Bend and Kane County, and usually go to a 7-10 games a year at either place--wherever the low A Cubs are playing). I am a not a scout and I question my evaluating abilities, but if you want to know about anyone, let me know. (Here is a sleeper pick for TomtheBomb); Tyler Alamo can play catcher. He is a big dude--looks like Lance Parish behind the plate, but he is quick enough and has a good arm. And nobody will sass him or charge the mound while he is catching. He could make Lackey back down with his demeanor. I hope he hits
