    Silva should have at least an inning or two left in the tank, at which point Marmol will shut it down. I won't call this a pretty win if it stays this way, but any win against the Cardinals is a good one. Of course, if we throw this away I'm likely to break several things and admit myself to a hospital.

    Silva continues to be one of my favorite Cubs of all-time. Getting rid of Milton would have put him in this category anyway, but the gravy is so nice to savor.

    Brock and Hubbs, back to back, first inning against the Cardinals in the summer of '63. That hurts. Long time to go without 2 triples in a single game.

    Retards may be a little harsh. Those two both have room temperature IQ's. I suppose if you are talking about their overall IQ. I was referring to their baseball IQ's. Nice triple from Mikey.
