Don't care that we're still up by 12 in the division - this was a chance to put a foot on the throat of a long time division rival and often time bane of our existence. This was a chance to demoralize them and show them they have absolutely zero chance to make the playoff's this year and they didn't get it done. Crap happens and you can't win every game, but losing Strop to injury, not scoring a run with bases loaded and nobody out, seeing Rondon pitch like complete crap after an injury, seeing Joe Smith come in and start fires/add fuel and seeing Lackey leave the game tonight - on top of losing 2 VERY winnable games may not be a huge deal, but it's not a little one either. Maybe it just comes from watching too many lousy Cub teams since the 60's and worrying that I may not get a chance to ever see a Cub WS - tough not to worry and be a bit pessimistic.
