They probably won't do anything since that announcement will never happen. Edmonds is wearing 15. Marquis is wearing 21. Someone in another thread said Marquis gave Edmonds number 21.
What type of a reaction is he going to get from the crowd? That's what I'm interested in. I'm sure they'll cheer, but I bet there are going to be a lot of awkward "un-freaking-believable" smiles in the stadium.
I wonder how many of the drunk bleacher bums at today's game haven't heard about Jim Edmonds signing yet. I can just picture their faces as they hear "now, batting 6th and playing center field, number 21....Jim Edmonds". Oh, the horror.
No he won't. The Cubs are a Top 3 offense (ESPN has the Cubs ranked #1, due to runs scored) in MLB. I doubt Estes is going to hang onto a 1 run lead. Historically, he gives the lead back. The Cubs will win this game. It was just way too predictable.
Would you do it? McLouth went yard again tonight so he's making it hard, but I feel like I need to sell high on him quickly. I liked Hermida before the season started but he's an injury risk and his power hasn't come along like I expected.
oh i don't know. .391 OBP? 117 OPS+? ability to play many positions, including middle infield? those might be some explanations. Umm, Fontenot can play multiple positions?
