The scary thing is Wuertz will be unavilable, Marmol and Lieber uncertain, so the first lines of defense from the pen will be Fox and Howry. Did Neal Cotts hit on Lous daughter or something? No, he just blows. Uh, his numbers at Iowa say otherwise. i don't trust cotts to throw enough strikes to be effective. I'd rather have him than Fox and Eyre. Regardless, it's pretty ignorant to say that "he just blows" without looking at what he has done at AAA to start the year. A 1.20 WHIP in AAA isn't that impressive.

No, it's ok. They gave up the best pitcher on the planet and got Carlos Gomez. Did you know he hit for the cycle?!?!!?!!11!!11!!1!!!ONE! kind of early to make a judgment on this trade, most of the players havent even made the majors yet the Twins had zero leverage and probably made out with a really good haul considering. the other offers of Hughes and Melky or Lester, Masterson and Crisp certainly don't look any better. Santana was due for a 20m+/year extension and would only approve trades to a few teams. they could have done far worse. The Hughes one certainly still does.
