    I like watching Rose hit. Just don’t see him being valued at 23 by Kantrovitz due to where he is on the defensive spectrum + defensive concerns. Also, it really feels like Klaw doesn’t have connections to the Cubs… He mocked Pierce and Aloy in his Cubs mocks last year and Aloy definitely did not feel like a fit for the Cubs draft models with his swing and miss.

    100%. We used to get potential top 10 picks like Jeff Hoffman, Lucas Giolito and Walker Buehler falling because of their health. Now, they don’t even fall.

    They signed Shaw for slot. They used late day 2 pick savings to sign Wiggins over slot.

    If anything, I think the Cubs don’t take enough risks under Kantrovitz on the power pitching side (or pitching period, since I’m guessing their draft models will always prefer the safer hitter).
