I think the authors main point is the advanced stats aren't accounting for it properly. Essentially we are possibly looking at a "decision making skill" which could be evaluated on a normalized basis or specific to situation (runners, personnel, game score, etc) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk But errors are included in UZR, unless he's more prone to errors in high leverage situations his error rate would already be accounted for. Maybe I'm adding too much of my own thoughts on top of the authors (re- decision making), but he pretty clearly states throwing errors aren't being properly accounted for.
