  2. pretty awesome forecast for the first week of home games https://weather.com/weather/tenday/l/60076:4:US hopefully they're way the horsefeathers off
  3. guess the white sox fans will still be able to take comfort in the cubs not going wire to wire and not having 4 straight playoff CG after we win the world series this year

  5. i don't know what annoys me more, that wgn was on that camera for that swing, or that the angle made me think he had just doubled down the line for the lead

  8. funny bc that's just about exactly how i feel about grote
  9. allow yourself to imagine for just one second a place where heyward manages to 75% fix himself, zobrist is back to 2016 form with the healthy wrist, and everything else goes just as expected

  11. ok guys stop pretending it's hard to hit this guy or whatever it is you're doing
  12. zobrist has hit two balls harder than any he hit all year last year from the right side
  13. stupid WTP so far this game...enough fake dongs, more real dongs
  14. i'd like to get schwarber some consistent time playing the outfield to get him as comfortable as possible and for however little it's worth, he worked hard on hitting lefties this offseason and it seemed to pay off from what I saw (not gonna pretend i even know if ST l/r splits are out there to be found) in ST so let's see how it goes.
  15. willy stop K'ing against garbage ass pitchers plz
  16. I could totally see Joe pulling that horsefeathers.
  17. Imagine if they hadn't won that dumb ass game against the Mavericks or that last stupid ass game they won by 1 a couple weeks ago
  18. For a very long time, the Reds always were the first game of the MLB season. In 1982 the Cubs faced the Reds and Mario Soto. Bump Wills (son of Maury) deposited the first pitch of the MLB season over the fence. Incidentally, this was Ryne Sandberg’s first game as a Cub. Cubs went on to win 3-2 in 8 innings. When you first posted that, I was gonna joke that I probably wasn't even alive yet, but, yeah, I wasn't alive yet.
