IDK how you can argue that he doesn't miss too many short and intermediate throws. Just be objective. Its totally ok to admit flaws are there. The arm talent is close to non-pareil, the processing has come a long way, he definitely throws a lot of balls away to avoid sacks. He should still be hitting a lot more passes than he has. You think Johnson is looking at 58 and saying, meh, not that bad? Theyre gonna nail down the details and next year he's going to expect him to be somewhere in the mid-60s.
believe it or not based on the source, there's a good discussion here on the completion percentage issue.
ben and caleb are shooting 3s, not 2s.
(but yes, things should be better and cleaner next year after a year of experience in the system and another camp)

OK, now I remember Biscuit winning some Nickelodeon award but it was called something other than MVP, but a play on that. No idea it was a playoff game, though.
it was an NVP and he just won another one

I think Jaylon Johnson would have to be Rizzo. He's the longest tenured Bear (along w/ Kmet) and was the best player on this team the last time he was healthy. Kmet can be Starlin Castro.
DJ is Starlin bc he's being traded to make room for Zobrist (Maxx Crosby) (different kind of room lol)

It’s not about rivalry stuff at all. GB is objectively a better organization to play for, cold weather and all.
Yeah, no thanks. It's not just about the cold weather, either.
There are plenty of good organizations in the NFL that don't play in backwoods towns in the middle of nowhere.
It's legitimately in the bottom 5 of places I'd want to be if I played in the NFL. Imagine having all that money and having to spend that much time there.
I was in genuine disbelief that they held a draft there.

Micah got paid, and he’s with a better franchise, IMO. He did just fine.
This isn't even about rivalry stuff... Dallas is no cultural mecca or anything, but being banished to spending winters in Green Bay (and playing outdoors) sounds like a cruel form of punishment. He'd better have gotten paid.

I don't really care who they put at RB, TBH (within, you know, reason and common sense).
Especially not behind this line and with this coach.

I don’t think a luxury pick is a real thing. The bears need impact players and can use one of them at a variety of positions.
Mayyyyybe you could call a punter in the 4th a luxury pick, but I just call it a dumb pick under any circumstances.

I have so many questions now:
-Do the Bears consider bringing back Keenan Allen now? I believe there was a report he would prefer to either return to LA or stay in Chicago. Caleb absolutely built a great connection with him. Ben Johnson is someone who can weaponize that more than our coaching staff did last year.
- Can Swift be the Bears Gibbs? At least a poor man's version? If so who can be the Bears Monty? Roschon or someone external? It's clear even with Swift, Rome and DJ (and maybe Allen) there is a still a gap between the Lions skill position players and the Bears. And that's not even addressing the offensive line which is drastically worse. Poles better be busy this offseason.
OK I guess I only had 2 questions for now.
Edit: No! a 3rd question:
-NOLA mentioned the style of defense Dennis Allen works best with. I think we are good with the straight man press component but not the "behemoth D Linemen" component. Does Poles go HAM on both lines this offseason finally?
Didn't seem like Johnson cared for Swift much in Detroit, from what I've seen.

Dansby's projection is certainly optimistic.
Going to guess these projections put us in the 90-95 win range?

For anyone who hasn't been following, some of the Ben Johnson talk today is a result of Breer telling ESPN1000 that he made it known that he wanted the Bears job last year.

Yes! What we need with our rookie QB to change coaches….AGAIN!
wtf are the Bears going to get it right?
Unfortunately, that part of that ship has sailed.
Ben Johnson would be amazing and would hurt Detroit.

To do that after all the dumb horsefeathers he did during the rest of the game, too.

I know one of the national analysts who comes on The Score has been saying from the beginning that Daniels was the top QB in the draft.
Shaun King
He's a moron.
Not necessarily for that hipster hot take, mind you (he also had Brian Thomas Jr. as the #1 WR in the draft - he's been v good, but no). He's just a moron.

That was one of the 5 worst sports losses I’ve ever experienced. Obviously bigger more important games have been lost but that was a dagger in my heart for so many reasons
You need to calm down then lol
