    My sisters fall wedding was awesome, as was the experience of all of us huddling around that TV in the groundskeepers office. Clearly she couldn't know a year in advance that we'd be playing in game 4 of the nlcs. Lincoln park conservatory is gorg.

    If we win, I'm going to be at a wedding Sat night. Hope there are TV's somewhere. Reminds me of 03 when my sister got married during game 4 at the lincoln park conservatory and the only tv in the place was a shitty 13 inch tv with bunny ears. We had the game on and would run up and down updating the party. ended up being a great night, up 3-1 WS on the mind. Badgers beat #1 OSU on a 80+ yard TD pass. I was \:D/ that night.

    Epstein did say that LHPs in the 9 figure salary bucket have aged better than their RH counterparts. That and I think Verlander will bounce back with a couple more 4 WAR seasons. To add to that on the LHP front, I wonder if they don't view it as advantageous to have lefty starters in Wrigley. One of the first things they publicly pointed out when they took over was how Wrigley seemed to favor LH hitters. Not enough of a factor to have anything to do with a big ticket signing like this, but just something that came to mind. Maybe I'm reading that wrong, but wouldn't that mean we would want lhp to neutralize LH hitters?
