  1. The whole Dodgers team is wearing #42 I believe. That'd be cool if the entire league did it.

  3. because for no real reason, lou pinch ran theriot for murton, leaving ronny as the only rh off the bench. the cubs' bench has too many guys who serve the same purpose -- cedeno and theriot, ward and floyd. for no real reason? theriot stole second. he served his purpose, even though he screwed up and made a dumb out. you gotta be kidding me. you're honestly telling me he "served his purpose" after he made a horrible baserunning mistake? man, are eyre and howry overpaid/overrated. his purpose was to steal second. you can't anticipate that he's going to make a mistake that little leaguers dont even make. i would've rather had murton in there, but they brought theriot in to steal, so yes, he served his purpose.
  4. Very unhappy with how the staff was managed this game. I don't see why Marquis didn't start the seventh, and I don't like Howry pitching again with so many games in a row this weekend.
  5. Totally unnecessary. Please tone it down. Pretty sure much worse is said in every game thread, but you got it.

  7. Well, hold em here and bring the top of the order up and see what we can do I guess...
  8. It's not that we lose, but how we lose. That never changes. Oh and it's never too early to freak... This is ridiculous. All teams lose like this. Even great teams lose ~60 games. And among those 60 there are plenty of games that were blown by boneheaded plays and bad luck. Are you kidding? Reminds me of one of my favorite baseball quotes: No matter how good you are, you're going to lose one-third of your games. No matter how bad you are you're going to win one-third of your games. It's the other third that makes the difference. ~Tommy Lasorda
  9. That was a nice bunt and a nice play by Ramirez. Come on Howry...
