He has no grit. Maybe he thought that since he is playing left field he had to not be gritty. Or it's 7-0 and lets not get more guys hurt.

Brendan Ryan knocked in Braden Looper, who doubled to raise his average to .385. ETA: Actually he knocked in LaRue. Looper still on base. I said to my friend: "every time I check on a game where Looper his pitching, he doubles." he said "flip it on now, hes up" I flip it on, right on cue, he doubles. Sick.

Soriano isn't our best player. If he is hurt we can still win without him. This team has good depth. Yes, I realize he isn't our best player. I didn't say he was. He's still a huge factor in this team's success. Instead of Soriano every day it's probably going to be Hoffpauir or Fontenot at 2nd and DeRosa in left. I like Hoff as much as the next guy, but his production is nowhere near Soriano's. Losing Soriano for an extended period of time (more than a month) will wear on this team's production.

So it doesn't look good for Soriano? Freakin' great. That's how the baseball gods work I guess. Pujols goes down, so Soriano has to as well.

i love when they show a wide shot of the crowd all standing in a big situation, then zooming out as they go crazy like that replay they just showed of Soto's HR.

I know you're kidding. But I'm actually glad. It goes both ways He's warmed up already, whats another 12 or so pitches? I think appearances is just as important as total innings when looking at a relievers workload. Using him for 1 out kind of pisses me off. If he's only going to be used for one guy, then don't use him at all. Basically they failed to give Marmol a day off and didn't even really benefit from using him. ??? There were 2 on in a 2 run game. They definitely benefited from it. Ok I worded that poorly. They benefited from it, but not greatly. They got one out. The odds are in favor of them getting that out no matter what reliever was brought in. I disagree, but whatever. People complain whether Lou uses Marmol when he shouldn't or when he should, so it doesn't make any sense to get into a big discussion about it.

What was it? two girls were holding a sign that said "Soriano you make us smile" Please. My wife once brought a "Micah Rucker is my Myspace friend" sign to an Eastern Illinois football game, referencing the Panthers' stud wide receiver. thats actually hilarious. that actually reminds me, a friend of mine from HS is named Reed Johnson and when Toronto came to town a few years back a bunch of us went to the game and he brought a sign that said "Hey Reed Johnson my name is Reed Johnson too!" He got laugh from Reed and a ball out of it, so it worked.
