I'm certain that Rich Hill, Murton, and one or two other guys could land you CC or Burnett, so this just doesn't make any sense. If Hendry does this deal, it'll guarantee that we won't get a pitcher any better than Randy Wolf.

Uh, yes he did. no he had some last year but now it looks like his entire arms are covered. he didnt have that many last year You are correct. I just went and looked at some pictures and he didn't have nearly as many. But yeah, his arms are almost completely covered now. He looks like a complete hardass with them, if that counts for anything. he does, and i like the occassional tribal tatoo, but thats a lil overkill, dont ya think? Burnett is my absolute top choice. I wanted him back when he was an FA and I'd take him now. Of course, I'd have zero qualms about CC or Harden either. If we are looking towards Wolf or Maddux or the like, we might as well keep what we have.

Patterson burned his option for the year when the Cubs sent him to AAA out of Spring training. Everything done after that is on the same option year. Plus he was already up to the major leagues in April. The Cubs can call him up 100 more times this year if they need to. It has absolutely no effect on his option status. Oh, that makes sense. I was just showing off my knowledge of the minor leagues ;)
