  1. We get it: You don't like Hendricks. But, he has given us at least 5 innings in 25 of 27 starts this year. He is perfectly fine as a 4th starter. Funny thing is that I don't hate Hendricks, I think if has better command he can be an effective pitcher. I do think a 4th starter on a playoff should do better than averaging 5.2 innings per start though That's 5.70 not 5.2

  10. You mean the 'Banks Buckets'? /Joe Morgan idiocy He called it "Banks' Alley." My dad and I are going to be able and say those two words and make each other crack up until the day one of us croaks. For anyone who doesn't remember this reference, Morgan said on Sunday Night Baseball that they used to refer to the baskets as "Banks Alley" because so many of Banks' HRs landed there. Of course it took 2.1 seconds for a Cubs fan to point out that the baskets were installed in (I think) the early 70s and Banks hit only a handful of his 512 HRs afterwards I remember the booth getting REALLY quiet after that, like everyone knew it was wrong but nobody [expletive] called him out for it. I was thinking (and I could be wrong) that they put up the baskets in '68 or '69..... but still the point stands. Banks had made his career and his reputation solidly by that time. Furthermore, Ernie (much like Sosa) was never ever known for hitting "cheap" home runs. When he connected, it was a no doubter !!
