Walker, Bynum, and Pierre are the only Cubs position players on the team who have hit into double plays at a below average rate this year. Move Pierre down the lineup and that would change in a hurry. Not necessarily because I was citing a rate stat rather than a counting stat. But Pierre did hit into more DP's at a greater rate than league average last year. Once the weather gets warmer, he'll start showing the Cubs his true GIDP skills. But warmer weather shouldn't affect him because...ahhh, nevermind CUBS are 7-18 when the temperature is 70 degrees or above Go CUBS !!
