I remember quite vividly the CUBS winning 14 out of 15 back in '67. It started on 20 June in Pittsburgh. The CUBS were in 5th place, 5.5 games behind the Cardinals. The CUBS won 2 games in Pittsburgh to finish a road trip, then they came home for a 12 game home stand against Houston, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh & Cincinnati. The CUBS swept 4 from Houston, split Philadelphia 1-1, swept 3 from Pittsburgh, then swept 3 from Cincinnati. After finishing 11-1 on the home stand, the CUBS found themselves, on 02 July, tied with the Cardinals for first place !! The CUBS hit the road after that and won their first game in Atlanta then proceeded to lose 7 in a row, and bound for oblivion. They finished in 3rd place, 14 games behind the Cardinals. Bet y'all can't guess which game I attended during that home stand !! -
