  1. Thome grounds out to Izturis, scoring Podsednik. 1-1 tie game.
  2. Gonzalez grounds out to second; advancing Podsednik to third. 1 out, 1 on.
  3. Thanx, but I'm so far out in the stix here in Arkansas..... it took 12 minutes to post those stats over a cellular connection. No prob.
  4. Then Jim really just needs to leave him at the Cell and ask Kenny if he could get some U.S. Cellular Field pens and maybe a discount on a new cell phone.
  5. Lineup per CSN: LF Soriano 2b Fontenot 1b Lee DH Ramirez RF Floyd 3b DeRosa C Bowen CF Pie SS Izturis
  6. That's already been mentioned in this thread, and for Premium users, it's at the top of this page (page 8). Anyway, that theory certainly worked wonders for Barrett, who has not 1 but 2 promotional nights coming up. Oops. :)
  7. sounds like its time for a divorce. consider it done And then say you were kidding and re-marry her on Aug 1 ;)
  8. Pray for a hot start by the Cubs and that they keep pouring it on, and it'll be just like having the mute activated. ;)
  9. I'm not 100% sold on Griffey just because of his history being riddled with injuries. However, I want to be part of something big. I want that feeling I had the day Jim Hendry got Nomar. That was probably one of the best threads to be a part of on this site, and I would love to have that experience again. This time though, I want the big move to pay off. Is there a move out there to be had, that can generate that euphoria again? Can a trade of similar magnatude happen before the final weekend before the deadline?
  10. Richard Joseph Hill http://media.collegepublisher.com/media/paper851/stills/3ce88b91a1939-31-1.jpg 5-5, 3.22 ERA, 89.1 IP, 27 BB, 79 K, 15 HR, 1.04 WHIP vs Javier Carlos Vazquez http://www.cbc.ca/gfx/topstory/vasquez_javier020303.jpg 3-5, 4.39 ERA, 84.0 IP, 23 BB, 75 K, 12 HR, 1.15 WHIP We won (Friday). If we win (Saturday), that's two-in-a-row. If we win (Sunday), that's called a winning streak; it has happened before. ~ Lou Brown, Major League (loosely adapted for this weekend) :D EDIT: Can't add more characters to the Subject, but for those who need to know, the game is also on WGN-TV. CSN: Len & Bob WGN: Tweedle Dee & Tweedle Dum
  11. This Young Buck http://www.homeruncards.com/imagesrc/carlos-zambrano-tt.jpg 7-6, 4.53 ERA, 97.1 IP, 15 HR, 43/74 BB/K, 1.40 WHIP Versus This Young Buck http://www.homeruncards.com/imagesrc/mark-buerhle.jpg 4-3, 3.45 ERA, 86 IP, 11 HR, 17/56 BB/K, 1.09 WHIP Zambrano won't get to hit on Friday, but maybe he'll DH over the weekend. ;) *sigh* Luckily I'll be at work for most of this game. This team infuriates me to no end. I need one of those blood pressure cuffs for home use. :x
  12. Cubs and Pirates traded players in 2003 that helped them reach the postseason. It happens. Ugh. I can't believe my memory failed me that way. I'll just find a nearby hole and jump in. 8-[
