  2. Wild card picks can only be changed during the ASB, so tonight and tomorrow. Your next two add/drops are for when the games start up again after the break.

  6. The Cubs were homer happy on Friday, and Garza pitched a good game. The Northsiders look to continue the trend Saturday afternoon, as they face Bud Norris; sporting a record of 5-7 and an ERA of 3.64 The cellar-dwellers of the AL West will face Travis Wood (5-6, 2.74 ERA) as he continues to try to build up his trade value. Go Cubs!
  7. Well that was the supposed forecast when I left my house at 6am this morning.
  8. This team is painful to watch - yet not as painful as the Southsiders. Anyhoo-- game one of the series against the former-division-mate Houston Astros begins today at Wrigley Field. Should be interesting to see if this one is delayed, as Scattered Thunderstorms are supposed to start around game time. The basement dwelling Houston Astros send Dallas Keuchel to the bump, sporting a record of 4-3 with an ERA of 4.23. The tied for last place Chicago Cubs counter with Matt Garza on the hill. Garza is 1-1 on his young season and an ERA of 4.98. If the rain holds off, it will be hot and humid. Could be a lot of long balls today. Go Cubs!
  9. Well should that happen, you wouldn't be the only one. However, Myers was called up and is starting in RF for both games of today's Double Header against Boston. I can't imagine he'd go to the ASB with 0 HRs.

  13. Done and done. And that was your second transaction of the first half. No transactions left until your wild card option at the ASB or until the second half of the season starts.
  14. Done and done. And that was your second transaction of the first half. No transactions left until your wild card option at the ASB or until the second half of the season starts.
  15. The Cubs have won 5 in a row now and look to keep the streak going against the NL West leading Diamondbacks. We have an odd Saturday night tilt at the Friendly Confines. Especially with it being on at the same time as Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals (aka the Blackhawks game). For those of you who will be watching the game... :) ... The D-Backs send Ian Kennedy to the mound, sporting a record of 2-3 with an ERA of 4.70. Not really impressive for a first place team. The Cubs will send "ace" Jeff Samardzija with his 3-6 record and 2.85 ERA. He will have to swing a might bat to keep up with his rotation mates. Who will be the slugger to hit a grand slam for the third day in a row? :D Go Cubs!
  16. The Cubs have won 4 in a row, but are still just 4-6 in their last 10 games. Perhaps this is the turnaround. They welcome the first-place Arizona Diamondbacks to Wrigley Field this weekend for a 3-game set. Arizona will send lefty Wade Miley to the hill, sporting a 3-4 record with an ERA of 4.53. He's lost his last three starts and has given up 15 ER in those starts. The Cubs are starting Matt Garza on the bump, who is still without a decision (0-0) and an ERA of 4.00. In his only two starts of the campaign, he's had one good start and one horrid start. Which Matt Garza do the fans see today? Go Cubs!
  17. Done and done. And that was your second transaction of the first half. No transactions left until your wild card option at the ASB or until the second half of the season starts.
  18. The Cubs have won three in a row, and look to take the Crosstown Cup from the South Siders with a win today. The visiting Pale Hose send Jake Peavy (6-2, 2.97 ERA) against the home team's Travis Wood (4-3, 2.73 ERA) in a battle of sub-3 ERAs. It should be warm and humid again this afternoon. Might see more long balls. Think Navarro will start again? In years past, a performance like that got you a seat on the bench the next game. Go Cubs!
  19. PPD game leads to another game thread from yours truly. The "series" shifts to Wrigley Field for a day game against the South Siders. Today features Jordan Danks' more talented (?) brother who has no record yet and an ERA of 4.50 The Cubs send Scott "Babe Ruth" Feldman to the bump, sporting a record of 4-4 and an ERA of 2.80 (victim of circumstance?). Danks.. word of advice... don't lay one down the pipe to Feldman. It'll wind up next to Glenallen Hill's ball on the rooftop! Go Cubs
