1. Anyone like to have a go at Rule 5? Looks like we will lose 1 0r 2 players at least through it.
2. Pertuz hit .298/.419/.427 with a 12% K rate, 2 HRs, and 36 SBs playing mostly SS in the DSL last year at 17 YO. He’s listed at 6’ and from Colombia, signed for $300K, has hit a HR or two as well this ExST. Hopefully he keeps believing in himself this Summer From AZ Phil box scores Pertuz is hitting .417 Name AB H HR Avg OBP Slg K% BB% Fabian Pertuz 36 15 1 0.417 0.472 0.528 11% 6% Widimer Joaquin 20 7 1 0.350 0.550 0.550 30% 20% Luis Diaz 38 12 0 0.316 0.474 0.447 29% 16% Jonathan Soto 29 9 0 0.310 0.379 0.345 10% 7% Yonathan Perlaza 40 12 0 0.300 0.425 0.350 25% 13% Fernando Kelli 42 11 0 0.262 0.381 0.452 19% 12% Josue Huma 35 9 0 0.257 0.429 0.343 20% 17%
3. Not sure how much use it is. AZPhil has stated Estrada, Ramos, Carrera, Marques and Correa will be Eugene starters. Vargas, Guerrero, Bruzual etc only have 1 or 2 outings.
4. Thanks for compiling that. The only problem is AZ Phil is only seeing and reporting stats on half the games now that there are two AZL teams. That said, half the stats are enough to think most of those guys should start in Eugene except for Velazquez (already at SB) and maybe Soto/Perez (catcher logjam). Welcome to the board too! Thanks man. I've been here a while before I registered and probably same length again before I posted. Very SSS on all of them. But interesting all the same. Just FYI that's Luis Vazquez not Velazquez in the image. Might do something similar for the pitching prospects.
5. Below is definitely not exact but looked through all AZPhil mentions of a couple of hitting prospects. Huma, Verdugo and Diaz seemed to be doing well also.
6. Nice. He is starting to stand out from the crowd amongst our DSL hitters
7. Reivaj Garcia. Is it time to get excited? Top 10 prospect in system by end of year if not higher? Just went 2 for 3 in EXST game. In all mentions by AZPhil he has 5 hits from 11 AB's. 1K and 3 doubles. Sample size etc..... but still 16. Not 17 until August. Strong games from Kelli, Sierra and Soto. Need AZL to just start. Between Eugene and AZL I have a list of about 20-25 interesting prospects, not including draftees, that I just want to get started.
8. I see Ovalles Tom and I raise you Morfa 7 hits - 3 dbls and 3 HR's
