  1. John Lackey left his wife when she was undergoing chemo
  2. Whichever year he hit one in early April that lead to them sweeping the Cardinals. Yeah that was 2006 and Jacque Jones actually was useful at that point
  3. http://www.reactiongifs.us/wp-content/uploads/2014/03/nooooooo_elf.gif
  4. Giants lose. The Cubs have a 3.5 lead in the Wild Card and a 5 game lead in the loss column
  5. Giants down 3-1 in the 8th
  6. Carpenter is pretty close to a lock too. My guess? Arrieta and Rizzo are named reserves and Bryant is a Final Vote. Bryant has twice the WAR of Carp in fewer AB's...he shouldn't be a lock. Guess I didn't realize how far Carpenter has fallen off. The BFIB had him as an MVP lock 2 weeks into the season.
  7. There is some guy from the Suntimes who has been putting up old Cubs games on Youtube. I asked him about that series and he said he could find any of them. He's put up some other classics from that year though such as the Clemens/Wood game, the division clincher against the Pirates and game 5 against the Braves. It's fun to go back and watch them. ok well then he needs to put up that series ASAP Yeah he has the Yankees/Cubs Eric Karros game on there and the clinch game

  9. It's a minor league deal and he doesn't seem too bad. Can't complain about this at all.
  10. I wish those games were on Youtube. Can't find anything.
  11. Miguel Montero, Addison Russell, and Dexter Fowler all like 2-60 it feels like in this stretch And Rizzo and Bryant haven't been good either
  12. Just playing devils advocate I guess but the strike zones been [expletive] and Latos' stuff has been pretty good If this was a one game thing, I'd agree with you, but the offense has been bad since the Dodgers series. And I get the Dodgers, Cardinals, and Mets have good pitching but they also struggled against Jonathan Niese, Bartolo Colon, and Tom Koehler in this stretch.
  13. Something seriously needs to be done about this. 1 hit off Mat Latos in 6 innings is inexcusable.
  14. Still not ready to worry about Soler although his approach has been garbage, but he's young. Starlin and Fowler shouldn't be this bad.
  15. I wouldn't say Jackson has had much success this year either. Yeah the numbers look good but the Cubs are mainly using him in mop-up duty. Put him back in high-leverage spots and I guarantee you he collapses again.
