  1. I guess it's hard to understand for somebody that lives in a city with 2 professional baseball teams haha Maybe I'll hit the lottery, buy the Angels from Arte Moreno and move those chumps to Indy. Harry Caray thought they deserved a team! Believe it or not I have been a Dodgers fan since I was a kid. The first baseball game I ever went to was Dodgers / Giants while visiting family in California. I moved to SoCal after college and have since become a season ticket holder.
  2. I love Wrigley Field too. Although it remains to be seen after these "upgrades" right?... and BURN hahaha. Not much I can say about that. You speak the truth. Oh cool I'm moving to OKC soon. Good to know that there will be decent prospects to watch with the Redhawks Dodgers. I really wanna see Addison Russell come through with Iowa. I haven't seen the minor league schedule, but I'm guessing the I-Cubs don't go to OKC in April. That's awesome! The Guggenheim Partners (new Dodgers owners) bought the Redhawks from their old owners this year. It's all about the money to those guys, so you can always expect the team to be stocked full of top prospects. I always stay in OKC when I drive home to Indiana. It's the halfway point from LA to Indianapolis. So I will have to go check out the ballpark soon too. Maybe if I'm lucky enough I will get to see them play a team like the Iowa Cubs. It would be ridiculous to see a Triple A game with Seager, Russell AND Bryant.
  3. Will do! Thanks :) That place is an embarrassment. I would like to start my own but I really don't have the time. I will take that last part as a compliment! I truly believe that our teams have the two best FOs in the MLB. I think we fire Donnie Baseball and hire Tito Francona next year. Then it's only a matter of time before we are both winning Word Series titles. Here's to the annual Cubs-Dodgers NLCS's to go along with the annual Hawks-Kings WCF series http://s13.postimg.org/hwbv5ul53/Cheers_Gatsby.jpg
  4. What I'm trying to say is that it's not easy to laugh at the Pujols contract when the Angels still kick our ass on a regular basis lol. Winning covers up bigger problems sometimes. Which is why you see Andrew Friedman gutting the Dodgers a year after they won 94 games and the NL West.
  5. LOL don't worry it's kid size. Which makes it about 10 times funnier now that I think about it. although I still hate his guts as much as ever in Anaheim ;) Talk about not fair! To get that guy AND Mike Trout. At least we stole Howie from them this week. yea, but Pujols has fallen ff so much since his escaped into Orange County, how do you hate him? LOVE him for what he did to STL, he left. $23 million last year. lololol Good job angels It's bittersweet! Albert Pujols is a shell of what he once was (production wise). But he is still the unquestioned leader in the clubhouse. I would compare the DiPoto Angels to the Colletti Dodgers. There is no question that the GM is inept. But they had so much money to spend on top of their homegrown Superstar (Kershaw and Trout) that it didn't matter. And their teams are STILL winning their respective divisions and competing in the playoffs.
  6. agreed. I hate the Cardinals and totally resented them for developing Pujols, but he was a stud. And, the way he spurned STL for the Angels, I'm really more of a fan then I had ever been even if his production will never be what it was in STL. LOL don't worry it's kid size. Which makes it about 10 times funnier now that I think about it. although I still hate his guts as much as ever in Anaheim ;) Talk about not fair! To get that guy AND Mike Trout. At least we stole Howie from them this week.

  8. I was including your big prospects like Bryant and Russell. So obviously not 98 games in 2015. But the talent is there for sure. and Tulsa, eh? You will be seeing a lot of our best prospects down there starting next year with the Tulsa Drillers and OKC Dodgers. I live in Tulsa too, is Corey seager gonna be here next year It all depends on how he looks in Spring Training. It's more likely that you'll see Julio Urias in Tulsa next year. They want to start Seager in Oklahoma City next season to headline the new Triple A club. It's similar to your Kris Bryant situation where the team will make a decision midseason whether to keep him in AAA all year or call him up to LA during the second half of the year. Joc Pederson forced their hand last year. He was the first player in 80 years to go 30-30 in the PCL. I am really hopeful that Seager does the same thing but my guess would be that he stays in OKC all year and Jimmy Rollins is a perfect one year bridge. Definitely a poor choice in hindsight haha! I set myself up for that reaction. I hope now you all see my true colors. I also hope I can provide some valuable Dodgers information for you guys. I actually live in Huntington Beach (Orange County) surrounded by Angels fans. So I'm used to making nice with "rival" fans. But I'm a Dodgers STH and try to stay plugged into everything. Side note: I still have a T-shirt from when my Dad took me to Wrigley Field as a kid. It reads "Cardinals take it in Their Pujols". I hope our mutual hatred for the Redbirds is enough to be friends.
  9. Be careful what you wish for! The following posts will show the quality leftover from DB... (taken from the 2015 offseason thread at TheLFP) 3 out of 4 of these quotes come from the Owner of the site  Don't shoot the messenger. These are clearly racist views and show a complete lack of baseball intelligence. Which, unfortunately, got DB shut down in the first place.
  10. I can only speak for myself but I'm only messing around. Granted I don't particularly like the dodgers but happy to have any fans here talking baseball, didn't mean to drive you off Haha it's all good man. I am too. I never intended on being a regular here but I'm not here to troll either. There hasn't been an active Dodgers forum in years. I thought we could talk in peace since both of our teams dominated the winter meetings. I was genuinely happy that you guys got Lester. Whatever happened to DodgerBlues forum? Long gone unfortunately! What's left of that is over at The LFP. I just bought the domain DodgersForum .com but I haven't decided what I want to do with it yet. Would love to start something like NSBB. I may launch it on one of the new vBulletin 5 clouds so I wouldn't have to worry about the server at all.
  11. Dumber than the Alfonso Soriano account whose only joke was that he was posting from left field? I am not pretending to be Friedman or talking in fake quotes lol I am second guessing the username choice now though. Should have gone with Vin Scully!

  13. Maybe this wasn't a great idea. If I wanted to troll you guys for a few laughs, I would have done it already. And for those who think I'm an old member having fun with a new account... check my IP. I'm not hiding behind it. I actually thought I could come over here and talk with some fellow baseball nerds during the offseason. So much for "killing them with kindness". Cubs fans are such hipsters.

  15. Sorry, not fraternizing with you. You guys ruined the greatest season in our lifetimes and I will never forgive you. I hope we play you the next time we make the playoffs and sweep you in 3 games. Haha that's like holding a grudge against Marlins fans (besides the obnoxious Marlins Man) for what they did to you in 03'. 2008 didn't end well for the Dodgers either and we aren't very proud of anything with Manny Ramirez name on it. Uhh yeah we do hold a grudge against the stupid Marlins. When you haven't won in 100+ years you tend to hold a lot of grudges... Good thing you have the 2nd best President of Baseball Operations in the MLB ;) Your team is already better than it was in 08'. So chill out Brother! I know it's been a long time but good things are coming for the Cubbies.
