Alonso vs Busch for back-up 1st baseman in the all star game. Alonso got it last year over Busch when Busch was statistically better. This year it’s closer.. sadly the voting is already over probably just waiting for the reveal.

Apparently got a 3 month free trial of Apple TV through Roku. So far glad I cashed that in.

Recency bias.. Tailon has had 4 starts of allowing more than 3. His first start, one in early May, and then his 2nd and 3rd most recent. Yes he was trending down and had to piece it together his last start. But he was Crawford boxes away from 5 shutout innings vs Houston. Home Run ball has been a bug a boo.. but in most of his starts he’s given us a chance to win.

Reading through this now.. a thing to remember about the 3 catchers in 2016 is that Contreras was playing LF that accounted for about a third of his games.

Funny how the Cardinals, Brewers, and Reds just keep rotating hot streaks but none of them can catch the Cubs because they are consistently winning.
