How do you leave then? I would understand if they left after the single in the ninth made it 3-0. But if you're staying for the rest of the top half plus the start of the bottom half, how can you leave with the tying run at the plate? They had their kids for their first game and wanted to get a picture by the marquee. Even worse they were 10 rows behind the Cubs dugout. They said they saw the home on the little grassy setup though. The post was ended with “hey we were still there”. Nah, you blew it!!

ATTENTION: THIS GAME IS ON TUESDAY. Sometimes it seems like the deck is stacked again you. That’s how the Nats had to feel last night. Their best pitcher lined up to go again Cole Hamels. 1 game away from getting to avoid Hamels but they just missed. No luck for the Nats this year I guess. Not a good night for those doubting the greatness of Bote in his thread a couple nights ago. There was a reason Joe fell behind by 3 in the 9th. To add a big boost to an already likely HOF career by Bote. I asked for DONGS, I got a dong but since it was a Grand Dong if was perfectly acceptable. Keep hitting homers Cubs, preferably with 1 or more men on base. Watch the Grand Dong again if you’d like. Onto the next... The next order of business is this falling behind early thing, especially in the opening game of a series. The Cubs have not played an opening game of a series without trailing during the game since June 15th vs the Cardinals. A shutdown first and an early lead that we sustain would be very enjoyable against a vaunted opponent like the Brewers. Win it Cubs!
