Petrick is on the 40 man roster, so for him to be sent back to the minor leagues he has to use up one of his options. The rest are non-roster invitees, so they can just get assigned back to the minor league camp. OK, but why does he have to actually go to Iowa right now? Why can't he use an option and just go to minor league camp in sunny, warm AZ??? he doesn't go to Iowa, he stays in AZ at the MiL camp did we change trp AAA affiliates? I thought it was Pittsburg? No. We changed AA affiliates last year. well that went right over your head, didn't it 8-[ :sorry:

Damnit. Just went and checked and I had a credit card bill due two days ago. Stupid me. I thought it wasn't due till the 12th. oh well, I paid it, but still. I'm sure to get a call from the mother unit beotching about it when a late-fee-letter gets sent to my house.

will you for sure be blacked out for all cubs games? because mlbtv isn't that much more than audio, plus you can watch all kinds of other games if you are into that kind of thing I assume I will be. I mean, I'm 20 minutes from wrigley. One would assume they will black me out.

invest in some MLBtv dude I live in downtown chicago. Pretty sure that puts me in th blackout area. yeah...it was a kind of tongue and cheek statement... oh...that must rock you get those CSN games and then the FOX games taboot right? Actually, i got them when I lived in NW Indiana. Now that I live in chicago I don't get CSN games thanks to my dorm not carrying that station. Needless to say I am pissed beyond belief. Oh, I should also add that WGN Radio gets HORRENDOUS reception in my room. Ironic that I move closer to wrigley and actually LOSE games.

Yea, we basically are playing the best lineup we could put out there at this point )with the exception of Soto) And theriot batting leadoff. But yeah, this is one of the most 'regular' lineups we've seen thus far.

I just happened to miss that game and recorded it for when I get home so I have been watching that game over and over all season long waiting for the new season to start. Hah. I've told this story a million times but I was on I-55 northbound driving back to my parents because I was going to the game the next day (which they lost, of course). My girlfriend was asleep in the passenger seat and I was listening to the game on the radio. When Aramis hit that ball, I screamed so loud that she shot up because she thought something was wrong. This emoticon is a perfect representation of what I did when he hit that: :yahoo: I was going north on US 61 by myself and when he hit it I started honking my car horn like crazy. I got some strange looks :oops: I was backing into my garage and slammed on my break so hard I about gave myself whiplash. My neighbor across the street was walking out to his car and gave me a look like I should be in a psych ward.

Oh yeah, that Bako, he's a heckuva pinch hitter. What would be the difference between "score them" and "drive them in?" Also, that last quote is awesome.
