Hey guys, someone pointed this board out to me so I thought I'd tell you all what I'm all about and what my goals are in reporting. I'm 17 and I'm currently working on making a career out of baseball writing. To do that, I established my Twitter account (
) where I report on the latest news and rumors, and I also write for MLBDailyDish.com, which is a rapidly growing division of SBNation. In no way have I ever made anything up in terms of rumors/news, and I have many legitimate sources in agents, front office executives and players who feed me information before it goes public. I have been able to break many stories before anyone else, including Zambrano-to-Phillies, Vlad-to-Long Island Ducks, the return in the Nolasco deal, part of the Clevenger deal, and part of the Corey Black-Soriano deal last night. As you know, its a very competitive industry where everyone is going for the same information, so it's tough to be first on a lot of stuff....especially this time of year. I don't have the same contact list as Heyman/Rosenthal/Olney, but it's slowly getting there. I also report what everyone else already has, and cite my sources every single time. I've never stolen work that isn't my own. With that said, I look forward to passing my work along to you on the boards and hope for some good Cubs' discussions. I love the passion that your fanbase has. Best, CC
