Hi Cubs fans! I'm actually a die-hard Royals fan living in Kansas City and a life long fan of the game. I want to be respectful of your message board, but thought this would be the best way to share our new creation. My friends and I have been playing our own Royals "pick" game on spreadsheets for a couple years by picking which Royals would get a hit, run, etc. each game, and giving points for each correct pick. We upped the strategy by providing double points if we picked a player in 7th, 8th, or 9th spot. It turned out to be surprisingly strategic and really fun game. But a couple of the guys in our group are software developers, and they found a way to turn it into an online game, and then they figured out how to hook it up to real time scoring for all 30 teams (including the Cubs). So now fans of any team can compete against each other by predicting which players on their team will get hits, runs, etc. for each game, and then keep a running leaderboard of scores throughout the season.
