  1. Outside of Kris Bryant, our pitching has been more exciting than our offense right now.
  2. 3rd HR allowed by Arrieta. :(
  3. Arrieta has given up 4 in 3 innings, albeit a few unearned but 2 HR's
  4. Agreed. Probably means another game where we score 2 runs and leave 20 on base.
  5. Chicago fans are really embarrassing themselves right now
  6. Bonifacio 2B Valbuena 3B Rizzo 1B Schierholtz RF Castro SS Sweeney CF Castillo C Kalish LF Wood P
  7. What? Why? Yeah, while he hasn't been a star by any stretch, he's been worth what they're paying him, for sure. It's not like he's making $20MM a year. Maybe he thinks Beane feels he could have gotten more than 5 WAR out of the 18MM they've paid him so far. He might be right, but it's probably not something that's haunted him thus far. Last year was kind of sparse though, wasn't it? Looks like he's off to a good start this year. I guess I expected Cespedes to take that next step after a good rookie year and he really hasn't yet. But yeah, he's looking good right now so maybe last year was just a sophomore slump.
  8. No line changes in morning skate, hope Q enjoys the Summer.
  9. At this point, are we just finding out how far Brett Jackson has fallen?
  10. How has Thibs underperformed in the playoffs? Seriously? His first year they went to the ECF. You can argue that the Bulls should have expected to make the finals since they had the best record in basketball but I think ECF loss was an acceptable result. Second year they were absolutely devistated by Rose's torn ACL but people also forget they lost Noah for the last 3.5 games of the series as well. Lose your best 2 players, one of whom was the league MVP the year before and only elite offensive player, and the other is the heart of the defense and team, and I won't blame them for losing. Even without Rose and Noah, the Bulls probably should have won the series (and they might have if CJ didnt pass to [expletive] Asik allowing him to shoot FTs), but its hard to really judge the emotional impact of losing your two best players early in a playoff series. Third year, what more did you expect from the Bulls? They lost Deng and Hinrich midway through the series, Noah was hobbling from plantir fasciitis, Nate Robinson was puking in buckets during TOs and they managed to win a game 7 on the road, then take game 1 from a team that won 67 games in the regular season. Did you expect them to win more than 1 against the Heat? If they lose this series, IMO only then can you START to THINK about building an argument that Thibs is a disappointment in the playoffs. But again this is only game 1 and Thibs is a better coach than Whitman, so we will see what adjustments he can make. I said it's more on Paxson and Forman they anyone. We've known since 2010 that they need a second scorer to surround with Rose and Noah in order to have a legit shot at winning a title and we're still stuck with a team that can't score. Defense and playing hard can win you games in the regular season but in the playoffs you need to be able to score to win games because everyone is going to be playing hard like you've been playing in the regular season. There's no blame I'm placing on Thibodeau, if you add a guy like Carmelo, I think the Bulls can be legit title contenders under him.
  11. The Bulls still need a scorer, this shouldn't come to a shock to anyone. The Bulls are 16-19 in the playoffs under Thibodeau. Playing hard like they do in the regular season doesn't translate to playoff wins. Now this is on Paxson and Forman more than anyone. Go out and bring in a scorer and combine that with defense and playing hard.
  12. I think Beane regrets signing Cespedes for that money in retrospect. And I'm a big Cespedes fan.
  13. If the Bulls had Melo on this team even without Rose, they'd have a legit shot to challenge Miami.
  14. Rizzo is only hitting at a Joey Votto level right now. Damn our front office for enjoying him and his lovely face.
  15. CJ landed on his ankle awkwardly I think, trainer out to visit. Edit: Stays in game
  16. These aren't the Blackhawks I enjoy rooting for. It's a shame they're stooping the the old Canucks and current Blues level.
  17. Good thing we overreacted after Opening Day facing one of the toughest lefties in baseball.
  18. Am I missing something? Why is this not on WGN?
  19. Lost in this Bickell is getting suspended for a game: http://d3j5vwomefv46c.cloudfront.net/photos/large/849162537.gif?1397943580
  20. Ha another penalty. Just end it now Blues. This team is a [expletive] joke.
  21. Seabrook deserves any suspension he's going to get. I'm guessing 5 games.
  22. Brent Seabrook turned into a [expletive] moron and cost us the game and probably season.
