    When did Sammy Sosa ever get demonized? He pretty much just faded into obscurity once he stopped being good. Sammy Sosa was loved by most of the fanbase until he started declining,a and then he did a few things that made it seem like he didn't care about the team. If Sammy Sosa became a hitting coach right now, he'd probably be treated the same as McGwire. You don't remember the whole leaving the last game early and boombox-gate?

    DeVoss is pretty interesting if he can stick at 2B. Don't know what he's actually looked like out there, but he's made a ton of errors.

    The Mariners are jumping Mike Zunino from short-season to AA after going .373/.474/.736 in 29 games. Wow.

    Both games rained out, neither will be made up. So Daytona got in 1 of the 4 games in their series against Dunedin. grrrrr I'm almost at the point where I'd take a move to the cal league. It would be crazy fun to see the numbers Baez, Soler, Vogelbach & Almora would put up if we moved to Lancaster. Bakersfield might have an opening, which would be in the Cal League North (historically less offensively-friendly than the Cal League South).     Alcantara's injury kind of scared me off putting him ahead of Villanueva. That sounds kind of stupid after typing it, but it's like he just fell off the face of the earth and we never really heard the extent of it.

    I really wish there was an opening in the Carolina league.

    I just don't see discipline being a "glaring issue" with Villanueva. If that's the case, power is a glaring issue with Szczur.

    When it comes to Villanueva over Szczur, I just think the value of having an above average 3B with a plus glove has never been higher. 3B as a position has been down for quite awhile.

    DeJesus with speed is pretty good comp. I don't want to give up on him developing 15 HR power, but I can't put him over the higher-level infield guys right now.

    He got an extension. I have no problems with that, as I think Epstein values having a guy like Wilken around, just in a different role.
