  1. Really? I mean it looked bad off the bat, but it ended up being a 280-ish(?) foot lazy fly ball that hung up so long that had it been fair - unless maybe right on the chalk - would almost certainly have been an out. I definitely reacted when he initially hit it though which is probably all you're referencing.
  2. A friend of mine went to a Yankees-Mets game at Yankee Stadium and sat in LF seats near a couple of guys that had an irrational hatred for Moises Alou, who happened to be playing LF that day. They were giving it to him all game, but they elicited a smirk and quick glance from Alou when one of them yelled "Hey Moises, your mom just called, she told me to tell you.... BOOOOOOOOOO!"
  3. Big Shot They also did one about the Gretzky trade to LA Oh that's right, I've seen that too and had forgotten about it. Cutthroat was really good too (the story of Clint Malarchuk being skate-stabbed in the jugular)
  4. I know Keith Law hates Vogelbach as a prospect, but a) isn't Vogelbach known for being pretty athletic (maybe that's just considering his size?) and b) didn't he drop a lot of weight? I was under the impression that Vogelbach was doing what he needed to do as far as taking care of himself went...
  5. I hope Dale Sveum realizes that if the Cubs win the WS in 2013, he's going to have to let Robin Yount shoot him in the ear next offseason too. You know, just in case...
  6. Filled mine out, started overthinking it, started over, and ended with a really stupid entry. For example, I think the Cards are 60/40 to sign Pujols, but if they don't I have them picking up 3 or 4 different FAs. Therefore based on my contest entry I have them with about $50M to spend this offseason. Did a similar thing with the Cubs and Prince Fielder. I'll be surprised if I hit double digits.
  7. Well, now that MLB has successfully reigned in team payroll discrepancies so that no one is spending $60M more than everyone else, the logical next step for them is to focus their efforts on reigning in draft expenditures that could wildly fluctuate by as much as $1M-$2M.
  8. He has a whole 13 innings under his belt so far, but anyone know if the plan is to get him to Chicago at some point this year? Or considering this season is dead will he remain where he can get regular pitch-count driven work...
