    That's because he rarely steps inside the three-point arc. Same reason Ryne Smith didn't get to the line much. Of course, Stephens is bigger and more athletic than Smith, so you'd like to think they'd get him into the offense a little more other than just throwing up threes. I think he will eventually, but the value he adds outside the arc is so important at this point. He's already on pace to hit more 3's than Smith or Byrd did as a Juniors and you would have to imagine his shot totals go up when they start playing from behind in conference play. He might make more 3's this year than Smith or Byrd did as Seniors before it's all said and done. As long as he stays over 40% let him take as many as he wants from outside.

    Moore (72.9 career) JJ (74.3) Hummel (84.1 although 1 of those years was in '12) Basically... Those 3 shot the most in those years and kept the FT% up to the low 70s as a team. Yeah, and it doesn't help that our best shooter, Stephens, has zero FT attempts on the year either. It does look like Ronnie has turned a corner with FT shooting but Terone is still shooting his usual 50%.

    I don't know if Etling is missing receivers or if they're not open but he's got all day when they run play action. Illinois would be wise to just run all day.

    I think it's becoming more possible every game that he's one-and-done. Obviously, he has yet to play upper echelon talent, but he looks very much the part of a big-time pro prospect. While he is a step below the upper tier prospects, he very well could find himself at the top of the second tier. If so, it's hard to expect him to return. I sure hope he does though. Luckily for IU it's a loaded draft maybe you'll get a break and have him stay because of that. He's looking like a potential lottery pick even in the loaded draft. What's the money difference from the back of the lottery to a Top 5 pick? I'd prefer he go. :D

    Probably better than IU fans wanted him to be (though Purdue fans may be happy about that). Kid is a rebounding machine. He's a short-timer in college. I'd say there is a good chance Purdue beats IU this year regardless of what defense is played, considering the only matchup is at Mackey. But Painter would be well-advised to play zone against IU. As should pretty much every team at this point (and likely all points, this team is not going to be a great outside shooting team). Painter won't play zone and we're not a great rebounding team despite having a big front line. The game will be a blood bath in the paint as that's how we're scoring most of our points as well. It will turn into a free throw shooting contest and Purdue is awful at that again. I don't like our chances. Maybe we'll get lucky with some home cooking.

    Purdue had two football players suspended for stealing tie clips from KOHLS. Wtf? GANGSTA Sumlin played at Purdue, you can blame any A&M corruption on Sumlin passing through our troubled program.

    KenPom #146 Charlotte just beat Kansas State who is now 2-2. According to Pomeroy this is a worse loss than the K State loss to Northern Colorado.

    I'm in a 10 Team H2H league with college / high school friends. Four teams make the playoffs. Last year I finished first in points and missed the playoffs in fifth place, with the most points scored against me. This year I've got the second most points in the league and I'm in fifth place on pace to miss the playoffs again. I've got the second most points scored against me. That really sucks.

    Tune in Saturday. Whoever wins, we lose. We're breaking all sorts of records. Like worst record in school history, most points scored against us ever, most points ever scored by an opponent at Ross Ade, being shut out in consecutive games, opposing defenses outscoring our offense for three weeks. :stickman:
