Barlow started it and Byrd was backing up a teammate. Byrd might be a 'bro', but Barlow is the problem. I think it's all but official now that Barlow is kicked off the team. Multiple people saying it, just nothing official from Painter. Byrd has no history of behavior problems. If Barlow is gone, at least one can give Painter credit for having the integrity to kick Barlow off the team for causing problems. A lot of schools would've looked the other way. Especially because Barlow wasn't even arrested.

Dammit. Barlow was doing a good job of staying out of trouble this year, too. Yeah, even if he's just too hungover after last night (they were out celebrating his 21st) that still can't sit well with Painter. My gut says he's gone, what a waste. He was going to be key next year.

Hearing now that charges were dropped against Byrd, and all players practiced today except Barlow. Barlow allegedly started the altercation and was already suspended last year. Wouldn't surprise me if he is kicked off the team. Looks like Ronnie Johnson may be manning the point from day one.

Purdue and Illinois are about as similar as two institutions can get. 100 miles apart, same conference, same size, academics, sports. We should be focusing our hate on the Hoosiers.

Half these people aren't even Illinois fans. Smack's devolution into da bum is the real story here. An unfortunate result of a couple Illini fans being unable to take any needling from a team that beat them twice without making fools of themselves. i needle any team that illinois has played recently, win or lose. I believe he was talking about me needling you guys. Which brought ought a whole slew of Illinois fans.

Ok, so 10 years is the magic cutoff point? Are you sure we can't make it 20 years? Sure. Hell do 25. Do 30. I'm sorry, 25 is just too long ago... Well if you want to go back to the beginning of the sport, then Illinois magically becomes the third best football team in the Big Ten. Does that really seem like a sensible argument to you? Same reasoning applies to basketball. You would still be behind Princeton in the national football rankings.

One of those guys is better than the other 6 put together. Who might that be? Williams got Jerry Sloan fired and is currently the most awesome player on one of the worst teams in the NBA. Sounds like he fits right in with your current crop of STUDS. Right, if you believe Karl Malone which no one does even the jazz owner. Also Sloan quit wasn't fired. Oh and Deron has been in the playoffs almost every year of his career and won a gold medal. He also has Dwight Howard begging to play with him. But as factual as you DJ Byrd was a four star claim I guess. Maybe Meyers can join him on the all soft team next year.

They are an NBA factory though. In the past 50 years genres Glenn Robinson and ....... Purdue's got a lot more guys in the NBA right now than Illinois... Way to go. None of them are impact players. Well, we're no NBA factory like Illinois I guess.

Congratulations? I'm sure that will wow people in your coaching search. Might not wow them as much as the fanbase publicly fundraising a coaches contract buyout during a season. Wait, it bad our fans have the ability to raise money and won't accept mediocrity? Go on... They also have the ability to come off as spoiled children. Illinois isn't hiring a coach until the off-season at the earliest. How about showing a little class and waiting until it's time... He is the guy that got you your NC loss that you guys are so proud of.
