  1. Hopefully Lovie and Jay can keep him under control. I think it's a gamble you have to take.
  2. Howland will be back at UCLA per ESPN.
  3. maybe that will shut up all the olsen lovers. well, we could have had Olsen AND Marshall for a 2012 and 2013 3rd round pick... Still... Marshall with Bennett, Knox, Hester, Forte... we're building up our collection of weapons. No point in listing Knox. Is it confirmed he won't be back?

  5. I'm pissed if I'm a Miami fan. Especially if they don't get Manning.
  6. What's Marshall's contract look like?
  7. for serious?
  8. You'll have a nervous breakdown and become an extreme free-market capitalist. hahaha, nice
  9. Man Syracuse. Molestation scandal with an assistant coach. Check. Drug testing scandal with 10+ former players. Check. Starting center academically ineligible before the NCAA tournament. Check. It's been a rough year!
  10. Does that count touchdowns scored by the opponent after a Jennings dropped INT?
  11. Demetrius Walker from the book Play Their Hearts Out is playing for New Mexico in the tourney. I had forgotten about him until I saw his name pop up on Pomeroy's twitter the other day. He was supposed to be the next LBJ and then got caught up in the AAU/rankings hype machine. It's a great book if you want to learn more about the scumbags running AAU.
  12. Long Beach St Damn, I've got MSU in the Final 4... anyone else? I'm looking for a good upset pick.
  13. Anyone have a double digit seed getting to the Elite 8 in their bracket?
  14. I think Vandy beats them now. Well, to be fair, that was a fairly popular upset pick even before.
  15. Time to update your brackets, Fab Melo to miss the tournament for Syracuse.
  16. So no Illinois fans allowed?
  17. If that's the way it ends up, the Bulls would have home court advantage for the whole first round.
  18. I'd say most people would have Kansas, because they're perfect in everything except 3pt shooting in the infographics. Kansas alum working for the WSJ?
  19. I had mostly chalk, but Belmont to the Sweet 16 and Indiana (?!) winning the title. Noooooooooooooooooo!
  20. WSJ Blind Brackets Somehow I got Memphis to the Final 4 (Gonzaga and Murray St. joining them in the Elite 8), with Kansas beating Kentucky in the Championship game.... http://projects.wsj.com/blindfold-brackets-2012/ It's safe to say that's not how I'm filling out my actual brackets but who knows...
  21. Didn't we front-load contracts too?
  22. Holy crap. NM State also has two guys that are 6' 11" and two guys that are 6' 10". Looks like only two of the five huge guys play much, and the 7' 5" isn't one of them.
  23. You think? Rather be in that bracket than playing New Mexico as the 5 playing in the west. Vandy would be a tough draw at the 5 also. I'd take the Temple 4/5 matchup, but can't justify IU being there instead of Michigan. When in doubt, I'll take the small conference school every time. The tip time isn't a huge issue to me. They recently played a 9pm at home vs. Mich. St. And this isn't much later. I think it's easier to play later away from home. More time to acclimate yourself with the surroundings, I guess. I don't know, it's an hour later and if there is any sort of delay in the earlier game they could well be playing ball after midnight eastern time. I know when I travel to the west coast for work it takes me a couple days to adjust and it's only a 2 hour difference. Obviously different people adjust quicker and slower... I guess I didn't really compare them to the other 4 seeds, it's just a tough set of circumstances they're facing. I know nothing about New Mexico St except that they supposedly have a 360 lb 7' 5" center. That's crazy.
  24. I think IU got hosed all around. From the 10pm tip time in Portland (3 time zones!) to having to play Wichita St (most likely) in the second round, to Kentucky in the Sweet 16. I didn't see it but I guess Crean was visibly upset when he saw Kentucky was IU's 1 seed.
