  1. Ew. Why? Meanwhile - the Cards finally have an offensive explosion... ...and it's done w/ Holliday, Rasmus, and Schumaker on the bench. Yeesh. Apparently the cure to the offensive woes is to get the "big names" out of there and play the nobodies.
  2. Yuck! Better played game by the Cubs... and the bullpen was just plain better.
  3. ...and a run comes home on the W.P. Amazing.
  4. Brad Thompson? Really? I guess we're conceding this game.
  5. Really? Yikes. Wow... Hey Boggs. You suck. Yank him, TLR.
  6. He knocked out Aaron Miles, took his jersey, and walked around on his knees. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA.
  7. OMG the Cards radio announcers are still complaining about the "seldom called" interferance.... ....get over it. The dude slid WAY out of the baseline, from what I understand. If this "vaunted" offense can't score more than 3 runs, they don't deserve to win anyway.
  8. Can you give me the winning lotto numbers as well?
  9. Thank you - I consider that a huge compliment. I'm definately not here to gloat or be an arse. I vividly remember 2007 and 2008 and the whoopin's the Cubs delievered to the Cards. Everything goes in cycles. So far this year, the Cubs have been bitten badly by the injury bug, and it's hard to come back from that. There's no argument that the Cubs were the best team on paper to start this season. HECK - even with all the mid-season moves, the Cubs might still be better than the Cards on paper... but the pieces just never fell into place. I just love baseball and I love watching Cards/Cubs even more. Baseball means a lot to me, as I have a former MLB player in my family (hint: Royals then Cardinals) - and I think this rivalry is way more meaningful and less commercial and fake that the ESPN-loving Red Sox / Yanks malarky.
  10. Why? What am I doing that is trollish? Joining up this late in the season when the Cards have it in the bag annoys me. Haven't read many of your posts thoug. Oh, I see what you're saying. I've read people mock the Cubs fans on "nsbb" on The STL Post Dispatch site a lot - but half the people there are so irritating I can't stand them. I actually joined here because I enjoy talking to Cubs fans about the STL/CHC rivalry. I have 3 friends that are DIE HARD Cubs fans. I hope you guys don't think I'm here to start trouble - I'm really not. I just love baseball, and I love this rivalry.
  11. I didn't see the earlier play but Holliday was at least three feet away from the bag. If he was six inches and they called him on it, sure, then it's probably BS. but his left arm wasn't anywhere near the bag. I guess I'm going to have to agree with you there. D'oh.
  12. Oh please. I understand that the Cards are your hated rivals... but "cheating?" Please. After all, no one EVER goes after the 2Bman on a "take out" slide... oh wait. Everyone does that, as you're trained to do in little league. Meanwhile - here comes your Cubs rally against the useless pile of goo that is Mitchell Boggs.
  13. Tell your boy Skippy to learn how to play 2nd That's literally what he's been doing all season. Not quite there, I'm afraid.
  14. Wow - okay - where was that call on the Brendan Ryan play earlier? This is dumb.
  15. So they're saying he was tagged out now? Double play?
  16. Who will you bring in to face Holliday? Marmol already?
