Thank you - I consider that a huge compliment. I'm definately not here to gloat or be an arse. I vividly remember 2007 and 2008 and the whoopin's the Cubs delievered to the Cards. Everything goes in cycles. So far this year, the Cubs have been bitten badly by the injury bug, and it's hard to come back from that. There's no argument that the Cubs were the best team on paper to start this season. HECK - even with all the mid-season moves, the Cubs might still be better than the Cards on paper... but the pieces just never fell into place. I just love baseball and I love watching Cards/Cubs even more. Baseball means a lot to me, as I have a former MLB player in my family (hint: Royals then Cardinals) - and I think this rivalry is way more meaningful and less commercial and fake that the ESPN-loving Red Sox / Yanks malarky.
