last season taught me not to expect it to be easy, but i didn't think it would be like this. it could/should change in an instant, but i'm past the point of expecting it to. it's just not worth it to be invested in the team right now. every day should be the day the brewers fall off and the cubs take off, and it just won't happen. it's still early, but its not THAT early. There’s like 115 games left and they’re 3-4 games back. It’s plenty early. Plus, I think it might only be two in the loss column. Which always looks better.

Every season has a couple of these. Those depressing games where you somehow pull it out in the end, and a miserable day suddenly becomes great. They can make this one of those days.

OK, be honest. How many of you actually think the Cubs are winning this game? Oddly, I think they are going to.

I’d venture to guess the guy running all this is plenty confident. I can’t imagine he’s all that happy about the execution and Javy’s bunt tonight though. Confident, but not calm. No way stuff hasn't been broken.
