  1. At 100 pitches...I guess one more inning?
  2. Looks like Schilling has decided to hang them up. http://www.newsday.com/sports/baseball/wire/sns-ap-bba-schilling-retires,0,4938707.story
  3. Regardless of his on-field performance, Dempster has always been awesome. Seems to be a great clubhouse kind of guy, and he joins random bbqs near the ballpark.
  4. http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2008/09/23/AR2008092303067.html?hpid=artslot My favorite part: :D)
  5. I try to love Ronny Santo, but the man hasn't said a useful thing on the air for weeks. His color commentary on Kosuke: "He had a good at bat. He really hung in there."
  6. A CG-SHO from Dempster would do wonders for my fantasy team.
  7. Looks like he won't be a factor anytime soon. http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=3480954 Good for the Cubs, but I feel bad for the guy.
  8. Hendry being interviewed by Pat and Ron right now...
  9. Thats what I was thinking, thanks all.
  10. I've been offered Kerry Wood, JD Drew, and Johan Santana for ARod and Grady Sizemore. League is 10 teams, I am currently tied for 3rd. I have Tori Hunter on the bench for OF, and would need to snag another 3B. Categories are R/2B/3B/HR/RBI/SB/K/AVG/OPS and W/L/CG/SHO/SV/K/HLD/ERA/WHIP I have some room for improvement in saves (currently 5th place) and pretty mediocre across hitting categories. Opinions? I am leaning towards no, only because ARod is killing it, and I have no faith that Drew will keep it up.
  11. Anyone else listening online have a weird repitition problem? The audio keeps doubling at the beginning of sentences...
  12. What the hell difference does it make? If you get warmed up then come into the game, you'll cool down anyway afterwards, just like if you warm up and then sit back down. His arm is fine. If you're going to baby him that much put him in a diaper. My god. yeah the notion of a guy having to pitch in a game situation after warming up is idiotic. lou is completely talking out his ass in this case. I just don't understand why he absolutely HAS to pitch after warming up, as if it's going to hurt him if he doesn't. One possibility (and I am totally talking out of my ass) - does warming up and getting stretched count as a "game" for Wood, regardless of whether he comes in the game? That is, once he is up and warmed up, does that count as a day of service for him whether or not he gets in the game?

If you're going to baby him that much put him in a diaper. My god. I would guess they have good reasons for doing so - personally, if it keeps Wood healthy after so many years on the DL, they should baby him all they want.
