  1. Take anything Churchill says with a grain of salt. Us M's fans have learned that much of what he says is far from "credible".
  2. I have been warned
  3. get out while you still can, there's still time. don't be like the rest of us I have a good friend who is a Cubs fan. Its odd that I would be interested in a club that seems to rip the heart out of its fans continuously. However, I just love the Cubs culture. I have never experienced that in my life and I am drawn to it. If you saw the look of dejection on all of our faces right now, you'd have second thoughts about being drawn to it. And yet year after year you all keep coming back. THAT is what I want. Sure, I want to follow a team that wins the World Series. We all do. But how many teams have fans that keep coming back. Year after year. No matter what happens? THAT is baseball. THAT is what makes this all worthwhile.
  4. Oh how I miss Sweet Lou. He sure is blunt when it comes to making decisions. A great manager.

  6. That sounds like my 2006. I forgot what it felt like to win baseball games. Honestly, I yearn for the innocence of 2006 again. For me its not even about the winning. I'm not the type of fan that goes from team to team while they are on a winning streak. Its just the way they have been run. It hurts. Sure, they released Sexson and Vidro and we watched the kids play but how long will this last? This organization is so poorly run that I really can't stand it much longer. Not that you were implying that I was a bandwagon fan. Its just.....I can stand losing. As long as the organization makes an effort to make smart decisions. The Mariners aren't.
  7. As a Mariners fan I really can't say much since my interest in baseball started about the time the M's starting looking up. This year however.....its tested me as a fan. Tested me to the point that I did not watch more than 10 games the entire season. And baseball has been a huge part of my life. Its tough. Good luck to the Cubs. My second favorite team and quickly sneaking up on that top spot.
