Thought he should’ve gone down to make room for Zobrist and then kept Bote up. Guy needs to go hit the reset button in Iowa.

I think it’s just a really weird outlier thing, I mean we are going to be near the top of the league in OBP so the chances are going to be more frequent (so rate stats could be less but we could still end up getting guys in plenty often on just a total surface number). But we shouldn’t be this bad and I don’t know how you “fix it.” It seems like a thing you don’t want to overly talk with guys about and make it a mental thing or whatever.

Seriously, why have they been so horsefeathering bad at this for so long. It should basically be a gimme for a team that's usually so good. It’s so odd that it hasn’t evened out from last year since it’s a thing that seems to fluctuate for no reason year to year

Yeah 7 hits in last 6 games going back to last Tuesday (21 PAs). Haven’t all been hit the hardest but good to see still.

You’d think they have to be doing something to affect spin rates since it’s multiple guys with the upticks but it’s pretty stupid by Bauer to accuse them of doing something illegal with no basis of facts. Maybe they figured out something proprietary to mess with mechanics to do it, maybe not and they are “cheating.” But do accuse them I’d like to see evidence along with it.

He's been pretty "contacty" all year (though not great contact) it's not an awful idea to put him behind the 3 big OBP guys, also there's a ton of lefties in the lineup so he breaks them up a bit. Just my guess. Schwarbs should be hitting 4th and him 5th though, I feel like.

Joe said earlier in the year he only gets to drink wine after wins because of a diet or something, my win streak powers may have sent him over the edge on a bender.

Greatest leadoff hitter of all time is back and Joe may be going mad and/or on a 5 day bender since he gets to drink wine after every win.

I think Almora's defense is preferable to Heyward's in center. After watching all of his glorious glove dongs the past week, I never want him to leave the lineup again. The highlight reel catches are great but my hot take is he really isn’t all that great out there and over a full season I bet Heyward would grade out better. Jumping/diving/running catches don’t always equal a great fielder.
