Sounds like it’s that Hamate Bone break/injury, which isn’t overly serious but even when he’s back it will still affect him since it’s a wrist thing. Probably should’ve addressed that catcher depth this offseason so Taylor horsefeathering Davis wasn’t next man up in case of a catcher injury.

Only idiots thought that was a good idea/excuse. Everyone who knows anything knows that passing on Bryce to maybe extend our guys in 2-3 years was horsefeathering dumb. i know, i'm talking about ptr specifically. didn't he say something like that? Believe he did, more or less. Which yeah is a piss poor excuse and everyone should’ve seen through it. I still think KB is mostly going to be fine, but even at that it isn’t a good excuse to pass on Bryce because of ~30 year old FA in 3 years.

I think he is quite average, I just don’t see the point in him doing this deal even if he is just adequate. It wouldn’t have been overly difficult for him to reach $35 mil just through arbitration years, especially with a rookie year all-star game nod (which oddly matters in arb hearings/pricing).
