  1. He might demand to play LF next time Soriano is injured
  2. the pitcher is carlos Zambrano. He's not a .030 hitter Also, there is no man on second, and there's only one out
  3. You could see on the replay he didn't throw that ball from a good position 26 pitches for Z
  4. For an inning that seems to be taking forever, Duke has only thrown 15 pitches 17 completes the inning
  5. Paulino's catching gear makes him look like a transformer when he's in his crouch
  6. Apparently the Pirates scouting report does not indicate that Soriano can't steal at the moment
  7. McClouth is REALLYlucky that didn't bounce over him for a triple
  8. One of the worst renditions of the national anthem I've ever heard. After the first pitch Pat asked Ron to tell us about Sanchez. It was a bit confusing for a second, but made more sense once ron mentioned what pitches he (Zambrano) throws
  9. We wouldn't need any Cubs fans to vote for Fukudome, the Japanese fans would get him in on his own. So Taguchi was the #4 or 5 vote getter for outfield in 2003 (+/- a year)
  10. Not the same. They were filming a movie (not a documentary), and when they had already wrapped, the Sox won. So they had decided to re-film the ending. The same. the movie you're thinking of (fever pitch) is not the documentary Derwood was thinking of (there were actually 2 that came out in 2004, so I don't know which Derwood was thinking of, but one was called "Still, We Believe").
  11. I see both of them this season as being 725-750 OPS guys with a ceiling around 800. factor in what I perceive to be better defense from Pie, and I think we have a winner Edmonds went from his 1.061 OPS in 2004 to .918, .821, .728, and this year's .500(104 PAs). It's been a steady decline, and I think a .750 is being pretty optomistic
  12. that was such an incredibly unstreaky team
  13. I hate when teams make up injuries to get someone off the roster. Same goes for the Red Sox and Buchholtz. He cut his hand beating up on a TV after the game yesterday. Is that true? Because if so, that's outstanding. He slapped a television?
  14. a 17 game sweep of the pirates would be pretty nice.
