  1. I can't believe edmonds is this good for us
  2. Was that a terrible called strike, or a terrible called check swing strike?
  3. Annoying given that Harden is easily fast enough to beat that out.
  4. harden bunts it in the air and doesn't leave the box, counsell lets it drop and gets the double play
  5. Kendal might be bad, but he can still throw out Theriot. and what a bad slide
  6. Line? 3.0 IP 5 H 5 ER 3 BB 1 K You forgot the 3 HBP seriously?
  7. Here are some of the goodies. Looks like those were cut and pasted from gamethreads here with the names changed
  8. That works too has theriot homered at all this season? once
  9. that seems to be happening a lot today I mean this year
  10. Not many things to see better than a 2-0 game when you turn the tv on
  11. i don't know many children who can break a bat over their knee. My best friend did that in third grade. It was pretty impressive.
  12. It's pretty simple: in an absolute sense, he's not that good. In a relative sense, he's decent. Baseball managers tend to be much worse at their jobs than the average person is at his or her profession at 40-70 years of age Well, worse than people in mid/high-paying professions, anyway. the primary qualification for managing a MLB team is having played in the majors.
  13. I don't want him to finish it, but I know Z will insist that he gets to. That's why I love Z. That being said, I wish NSBB, would realize not ALL pitchers have the same requirements for pitch counts. As Kasper just cited, Sheehan indicated that older pitchers can tolerate higher counts. Plus as I repeat AD NAUSEUM, it's higher stress innings, that REALLY influence Pitcher Abuse. And since it's a 1-0 game, it makes sense to risk his arm with the extra pitches and pitchers on the bench who haven't pitched in a few days  All I'm saying is that Z is a huge competitor, a horse, and he's older and not prone to the real damage that happens with young pitchers ala Prior and Wood (in high school). He's been coasting, he's out now. It's fine. Lou is being careful with Harden for good reason, Z is fine. I think fans put WAY too much emphasis on pitch counts without taking other factors into count (age, high stress innings) there's simply no upside, and a non-trival downside. It's a dumb move.

  15. No problem here. I wonder if it just the WGN America feed. I've got both WGN and national HD feeds here and I'm not hearing it on either.
