Penalty for hitting the ball out gives an auto-first down because the refs ruled the guy who lateralled never controlled it. The Steelers should have challenged if Clark's knee was down, seeing as it had. Just pure incompetence by the refs. If the guy who "didn't have possession" was down? Come on, you know the refs didn't even see that much or they would have called it different. Steelers take the lead But if you're not allowed to challenge whether or not he had the ball, whether or not he was down is simply moot. They were totally screwed by the refs somehow not realizing that a player picked up the ball

That was an easy call. I've never seen that call in 40 years of watching football. Easy call my ass Saw it called last week. That time the penalty gave the team doing the batting 25 yards. Not cost, gave.
