  1. Just a quick question: What is the reasoning behind not having the wild card team play the #1 seed in the first round if it is a team in the same division as the #1 team? It seems to me that it would be advantageous for the Cubs to play the Brewers given that they are the weakest of all the playoff teams.
  2. My apologies if I took the post the wrong way. One of the disadvantages of e-mail and the internet is that you can't see facial expressions or get any context. Anyways, sorry for misunderstanding. That idocy by decision makers leads to a huge cluster-farfegnugen? If thats why you love baseball, then you my friend will cream over the speedball rush of American Politics. Flame you? I think you took my post the wrong way.
  3. Calm down! I simply am saying that this is a unique situation that probably would never happen in any other sport. It makes for an interesting debate. There are many other things I love about the game, the uniqueness of situations that the nature of the game creates is one of those things. That being said, I care about the Cubs but it's only a game, no need to flame me! That idocy by decision makers leads to a huge cluster-farfegnugen? If thats why you love baseball, then you my friend will cream over the speedball rush of American Politics.
  4. Just looking at it from a big picture perspective it really is a fascinating and unique situation. One that just reaffirms why I love baseball, this situations is something that could only happen in this game.
  5. I like the theory that he will be important for the playoffs. Doesn't that seem to happen every year? The guy who struggles or who has had limited playing time gets a huge hit in the playoffs?
  6. Let's look at the positives: 4.5 lead in the division. 3 games against the Cardinals, best rivalry in baseball, with a chance to bury our biggest rival. Playoffs on the horizon. This is only a bump in the road, this team is for real, lets not forget what they've done for the entire rest of the year. We will turn it around this month and get hot going into the playoffs!
  7. Hi all, New member of this board. I thought this guy was great, lots of enthusiasm. They should have a fan do it every game (or Ronny). Get rid of the Jeff Gordon's of the world doing it who have no connection to Cubs Baseball.
