    It just sucks that these loses aren't coming from us being outplayed, but from us giving away the [expletive] game. It happened twice over the Phillies series and it's happening again tonight.

    I had a dream last night where the Wild Card game was Cubs/Cardinals at Wrigley.

    This game is very uninspiring. At least you can't get too upset if we end up losing to Cole. Also, the [expletive]? Burnett is pitching this series? I thought he was out for the rest of the season with an injury.

    Sometimes [expletive] just happens. No one has to happy about it, but that's the way it is. ...I say, as we make yet another lineout. It's not like the BABIP on line drives is .825 or anything.

    Does it really matter when they happen? I mean, the only time it matters more is if it is against a team you are competing with for playoff positioning. It's more frustration at the fact that we could be right on top of the Cardinals and Pirates if we didn't have all these incredibly unlucky losses in the past few weeks.

    Given our farm depth and internal options, there was no reason to trade for Haren. Either roll with Wood or Wada the rest of the year or trade for someone better. There's no way the front office didn't see this coming.

    I would purchase and murder a goat if it meant the Cardinals weren't relevant for the next ten years.

    Yes tell them to make sure every pitch is 98 mph perfectly painted on the corner with late movement. If they don't comply 100% of the time, DFA them. Any failure is inexcusable if the club is to reach their stated goal which is 162-0 This post, I'm definitely embarrassed over.

    I mean, it's easy to yell at pitchers when they walk shitty hitters, but none of us have been in a major league pitcher's shoes. You're basically asking a pitcher to never walk anyone, ever.

    Yup. Mainly because it took an incredible convergence of improbable luck for us to lose this game, yet everything turned out [expletive], aside from the bullpen delivering six awesome scoreless innings. Not to mention you can usually count an inning over after two outs an no one on, yet the Phillies scored all their runs with two ours against excellent relievers. Yeah, it's baseball. It happens. And it still sucks every time.
