I really think this is all being done by the NFL. The McCaskeys don't have the money to build a new stadium and the team is being kept in Cook County, so it's not like the Bears represent a new source of revenue for Illinois or Cook County. To me, this is a deal that's being put in place to drive up the team's value, since it means any new ownership group taking over the Bears will have their own massive vacant lot to build whatever domed shrine to capitalism their hearts may desire. I think we see the team sold within two years of this purchase deal getting finalized. Could a company like Amazon for instance, partner with the McCaskey's to build a new stadium?

We had about 15% of the entries on the Ravens, I went with AZ but almost picked the Ravens. Would have been nice if the ball bounced the other way ala Parkey. Plus, there should have been a delay of game on the play before the kick

I just can't fathom how night and day the oline was vs Cincy and vs Cleveland. Yes, I know totally different levels of talent. I would think they might get right vs Detroit but who knows?

I hate to sound like a meatball but Nagy needs to horsefeathering go. Or at least be forced to give up play calling. Fields may end up being a bust. But we can't let Nagy have anything to do with his development before we find out.

I would think at least 1 of the 7+ underdogs win outright. Probably the one I pick in Survivor pool Also, heard a stat on the Score this morning. Under Nagy, the Bears are 0-14 as an underdog since 2019 and 2-12 against the spread. Not sure if that is accurate. Edited its not accurate they beat TB last year

Browns might be banged up a bit. Perhaps no OBJ, and it looks like Mayfield might not be 100% Maybe the Bears pull of the upset and Fields goes 18/25 for 250 and 2 TDs, the Bears shutdown Chubb and win 24-17

Yup, Im thinking week 4 at home vs Detroit, a perfect situation. How are the Bears fans at Soldier Field going to react this Sunday if the Bears sputter into halftime with like 6 points or if something happens like a Dalton pick 6?

Recency bias, bettors overreact to week 1. Look ahead line prior to week 1 had the Bears at -4.5. I think the best bet is the over in this game actually. Its going to be 90F on Sunday, defenses will be gassed. Bears better switch to their white jerseys for this one. Another game Tennessee at Seattle( -5.5) wut? I know its in Seattle but people are putting too much stock into how bad Tennessee looked and how good Seattle looked

If you're pessimistic then nothing matters. Field's leg will spontaneously combust on the 50 yard line against the Packers and they'll blow a 30-3 lead in the 4th quarter. Sounds about right lol

What about the scenario that Dalton starts week 1, Fields is used for a few gimmick plays a couple of times a game and gets a season ending injury? I'm just a pessimistic Bears fan, sorry. I'm in the start Fields now camp.i think he starts week 4 vs Detroit at home. Bears are 1-2, with narrow victory vs Cincinnati with Dalton.
