  1. And here comes the double play...........
  2. As odd as it would have sounded 2 weeks ago, I'd like to see that Barney fella on deck
  3. Been watching the UFC, and turned the game on just in time to see Barney and Castro do their thing. I know Barney can't keep this up, but wow, he's been great.
  4. I think that Quade wants to bring Baker's average back down to earth. That is the only reason I can think as to why he keeps hitting against righties. It really is baffling. If Pena's going to start becoming useful it's going to be likely against mediocre righties like Galarraga first. Quade sucks, I don't care what he did in 40 games last year when the Cubs were out of contention, and how enthusiastic he is
  5. We suck, and Upton is the new Cub killer, whether it be his defense or that hit
  6. More airtime for the lollipop girl, less time showing this disaster of a team
  7. Coleman. Down 7 already, I'd just let Reed Johnson pitch
  8. Great, now Berg is hurt. Can it get any worse
  9. Great job Dempster, just what we needed from our "ace" :good:
  10. Riggins has done a great job so far this year
  11. Dempster isn't even going to wait 'til the 5th inning to [expletive] this one up. What the [expletive] happened to him
  12. Why? Because the starters overall have been terrible and Riggins isn't ready for the big leagues according to C. Silva. Coleman and Russell are going to be terrible regardless of who the coach is. Garza hasn't been terrible at all. Zambrano has been Zambrano. The only who is really stinking is Dempster, and I highly doubt he and everyone else forgot how his slider used to break just because Rothschild is gone. What do you have to say about Quade leaving Dempster in every [expletive] game when her clearly has NOTHING left. I hope I'm wrong about Quade, but I'm not a fan.
  13. All aboard!!!!!
  14. What was it about Quade? He's a "players manager" Fire him and sign Bobby Valentine. The loss of Rothschild seems to be a bigger loss than i initially thought.
  15. Quade sucks, it's time we all accept it.
  16. Doesn't help that the manager can't manage the 3-5 spots to save his [expletive] life. What would you change about it? He moved Byrd down, Pena you gotta think will eventually start hitting for power. And hasn't Soto said he prefers to hit 8th? Don't care where he "prefers" to hit (and I doubt he said anything like that, and if it did it was just the diplomatic answer); he's too good to hit that low. Byrd has no business hitting anywhere 1-5. Pena needs to be dropped until he heats up. Fukudome-Castro-Aramis-Soto would likely produce more runs than what Quade keeps running out there. And yes, I get that Aramis is getting the day off. He needs to be hitting #3 when he's starting. We're pretty much in agreement I'd like to see Fuku Castro Aramis Pena Soto Soriano Byrd Barney ( i don't think he can keep this up) Pitcher Edit: Maybe swap Byrd and Soriano

He moved Byrd down, Pena you gotta think will eventually start hitting for power. And hasn't Soto said he prefers to hit 8th? Well today the big issue is having a hitter who has a career .674 OPS against righties hitting 4th for you against a righty. I just looked up his splits to get an exact number...holy crap he has one of the most extreme splits ever. Career .674 against righties, .920 against lefties. Oh, I agree with that, I think my 2nd post in this game thread was asking why Baker was batting 4th, especially against a righty. I'm not a fan of Quade, no way should Baker be hitting 4th ahead of Soriano, Byrd, Pena, and Soto, even if Soto prefers to hit 8th. Soto is a damn good hitter and won't get [expletive] to hit hitting 8th, I don't get it.
  18. How the [expletive] is that not interference?
