    david brooks had (what i thought was) a good article in the nyt, which kind of gets at what i was saying - trying to understand why so many people say they would have run to police or bashed in his head with a crowbar, when in real life many of these witnessed child abuse cases go unreported: http://www.nytimes.com/2011/11/15/opinion/brooks-lets-all-feel-superior.html?_r=2 that doesnt excuse anyone from reporting it.

    why on earth would the bears game be blacked out in st. louis? I saw that on the506, its just a grey hole in the broadcast map. hell, even I get the Bears game this week. weird.

    I think the Bears rely heavily on ST and D this game, much the same as yesterday. It will take a week or two to settle the O-line down again after the Williams departure. Bears 17 SD 9

    How so? If anything you want the west coast team playing earlier I'm thinking about the potential change of temperature by halftime when it starts getting dark. Of course, if the weather isn't cold, it won't be an issue. If it's not going into the 20's, I don't think the relative drop in temperature will have that much of an effect. cold, damp weather can definitely have an effect to a S California team
